Highland cattle

The oldest registered breed of cattle. Originated from the Scottish Highlands, well suited for New England climate. Docile breed, low maintenance. Does well on inferior pasture. 

Originated from Tibet, a triple purpose animal, survives easily in harsh climates and poor pastures. High in omega 3. Fiber comparable to cashmir. We had a little yakling born last summer, her name is Hope, this year's baby is Honey, both Karla's calves. Hazel gave us another yakling this year, Olive was born on October 1st. And another yakling was born on June 18th, 2025.

A breed developed to pull Romany Vardos on the British Isles. We have two boys, Micah and Raphael. They were born in June 2024 so they are just yearlings, but they are learning to be therapy horses and doing extremely well.
